My Story
Hello/Assalamu Alaikum,
This is the first charity run I am participating in… I guess we all must start somewhere.
I have to say that it was my amazing mum that introduced me to the Muslim Charity fundraising; she has done so much for me and my sisters and completing this run with her will be unforgettable. My mother is the strongest and most inspiring woman that I have the pleasure of knowing – she has always taught me that education is important and me being able to get one is a privilege. Growing up, I didn’t take much notice of her words but now I understand how vital it is to have an education.
Unfortunately, there are millions of children who don’t have access to learning and remain illiterate. They are forced to work and fund their families – no child deserves to have their childhood taken away from them. The hopes, and dreams that they have should be able to be fulfilled.
The Muslim Charity is helping and funding communities. They are trying to provide shelters, an education, equipment, and stationery to those who need it. The things that we may take for granted are the things that some of these children really need. By your donation – whatever you can afford, you can help make a positive change!
Thank you,
Samirah
