My Story

I am taking part in the Tour De Pakistan 2022 Challenge to raise funds to support the Children of the World campaign, which rebuilds young lives by supporting and strengthening local communities in countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh and Kenya to protect children facing the gravest injustices.

About the cycle: I will be cycling 170miles over 5 consecutive days climbing a total of 15,820ft/4821m up the Kunjerab pass to the China border.. (tired just typing that).

Where will the funds be used?
Working in some of the harshest environments you can imagine, Muslim Charity has been able to rescue thousands of children from the street where abuse and exploitation was all they have known. Muslim Charity understand that every country and community is different and our projects are designed to synchronise with the society norms, culture and government policies.

In Pakistan, Muslim Charity is supporting children who are involved in child labour in Peshawar and brothel children in Lahore. Social mobilisers encourage them to join our informal education centres where we ensure their education and psychosocial well being.

In Bangladesh, Muslim Charity has been rescuing street children for a numver of years. A permanent transitional shelter is located in Dhaka and also regular Schools under the Sky are run in busy ferry terminals like Sadarghat which are informal schools aiming to give street children a basic education.
