Charity Fundraising for Syrian Refugees and Turkish Families Affected by the Earthquake

Assalamu Alaikum, 

I am reaching out to you with an urgent call for help. InshaAllah, I will be traveling to Turkey to deliver essential aid to Syrian refugees living in makeshift camps and unsafe shelters, as well as to Turkish families who lost everything in the devastating earthquake two years ago.

As many of you know, Syrian refugees have been fleeing their homes due to the civil war, and Turkey has generously provided shelter to nearly three million refugees. In 2018, Turkey hosted 63% of all Syrian refugees globally, with over a third of them residing in Southeastern Turkey, close to the Syria-Turkey border. Due to the ongoing conflict, many refugees are unable to return to Syria as they have lost everything — their homes, livelihoods, and income sources.

The recent earthquake in Turkey compounded their suffering, leaving thousands more homeless and without any income. The need for assistance is now greater than ever.

Our mission:

We aim to provide life-changing support to these communities in need. Our efforts will focus on:

Food Packs: Providing basic food necessities to families who are struggling to survive.

Clothing & Wheelchairs: Many children have been left physically impaired due to the brutal war in Syria, and we are aiming to provide them with wheelchairs to help them live a more independent life.

Income Generation: We will help Syrian and Turkish families by supporting income-generating initiatives, such as providing them with tools to start small businesses.

Bikes for School children: Many Syrian children must walk 5-6 km to attend school. By providing bikes, we can help them get to school faster and improve their education opportunities. 

Orphan Party: Organizing a special event to bring joy to orphaned children and remind them that they are not forgotten.

How your donations will make a difference:

- £50 will provide Food Packs (Zakāh eligible) to families who need it the most. 

- £200 will provide a Wheelchair (Zakāh eligible) for a child or adult with physical impairments caused by the war. 

- £500 will contribute towards Income Generation for a Syrian or Turkish family, giving them the tools they need to rebuild their lives. 

- £100 will fund a Party for Orphans, bringing joy and a sense of community to children who have lost their parents.

- £50 will help Purchase a Bike for a child, allowing them to cycle to school and access education more easily.

These donations are not just a charity; they are an investment in rebuilding lives, restoring dignity, and spreading hope. Every contribution, no matter how small, will go a long way in providing critical aid and support to those who need it most.
