YOUR BANGLADESH CYCLING ADVENTURE STARTS HERE

Join Team MCcc on our new cycling adventure touring Bangladesh. Cycle on some of the most beautiful routes in the world while you soak in the culture, food and the amazing people. Start your ride from the historic city of Rajshahi, and along the north bank of the Padma River, near the Bangladesh-India border, through to Bogra and Tangail on to the capital city of Dhaka. Continuing on to Sreemangal riding through the trails inside the tea gardens and finally finishing at Sylhet. The trip is tailored to show you the beauty of Bangladesh and to highlight the incredible work we are doing with vulnerable communities.

KEY INFORMATION:

Registration Fee: £500 - This includes all costs within Bangladesh (hotels, food, accommodation and airport transfers). This is to be paid in two installments: £100 (Deposit) is payable upon registering/signing up and the remainder of £400 can be paid up until 31st December 2021.

Fundraising Target: £1,500 - This is in aid for our #ChildrenOfTheWorld Campaign.

THE CAUSE:

Our Children of the World campaign rebuilds young lives by supporting and strengthening local communities to protect children facing the gravest injustices. Working in some of the harshest environments you can imagine, we have been able to rescue thousands of children from the street where abuse and exploitation was all they have known. We understand that every country and community is different and our projects are designed to synchronise with the society norms, culture and government policies.

In Bangladesh, we have been rescuing street children since 2014. We have a permanent transitional shelter in Dhaka and also have regular Schools under the Sky in busy ferry terminals like Sadarghat which are informal schools aiming to give street children a basic education.

In Pakistan, we are supporting children who are involved in child labour in Peshawar and brothel children in Lahore. Our social mobilisers encourage them to join our informal education centres where we ensure their education and psychosocial well being.
