- About
On February 6th, 2023, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake shook southeast Türkiye and northwest Syria, leaving devastation in its wake. Over 50,000 lives were lost in Türkiye, and more than 13 million people across 11 provinces were directly affected. Entire communities were reduced to rubble, and families were torn apart in an instant. Nearly two years later, the scars of this tragedy remain painfully visible—not just in the shattered landscapes, but in the hearts of the survivors who continue to endure its aftermath. Among these survivors are approximately 3 million Syrian refugees who had already fled the horrors of war, only to find themselves facing a new catastrophe. Scattered across cities, rural areas, and refugee camps, they are living in precarious conditions. Access to basic necessities like food, shelter, and medical care remains a daily struggle for many. This is where we can make a difference. Volunteers with Muslim Charity are joining hands to support these vulnerable communities. Through fundraising efforts and on-the-ground distribution, they deliver essential aid such as food packs, clothing, medical supplies, and even container homes to provide stable shelter. Additionally, initiatives like business startups aim to help families regain a sense of stability and independence, giving them the tools to rebuild their futures. But this mission is more than just providing aid—it’s about solidarity with our brothers and sisters. It’s about showing them they are not forgotten and that the world has not turned away from their pain. By volunteering our time, energy, and resources, we can help carry the light of hope and mercy into their lives. This call to action is a chance to transform lives and bring hope to those who need it most. Together, we can rebuild what was lost and create a brighter future for the survivors of this tragedy.
