Around the world, winter leaves vulnerable communities even more vulnerable, often struggling to stay alive. With climate change, we are witnessing more intense winters, random freak weather, and increased natural disasters like flooding.

Overwhelmingly, these affect communities with so little, often wondering where their next meal is coming from. Millions of people often do not have enough food to eat, clean water to drink, or safe shelter to keep them protected. These issues are heightened in winter, leaving people without the sustenance, protection, and support they desperately need.

Across the Middle East, millions of people have been displaced from their homes due to war and violence, while refugee communities in places like Lebanon are struggling to rebuild their lives.

With your support in this deployment, we will be distributing food packs for the month of Ramadan, winter aid (examples, shawls, socks, hats, blankets, mattresses, jackets, food, heaters and fuel), supporting families and individuals with income generation, supporting orphans, providing warm cooked meals in camps and shelters (all aid will be assessment of needs basis) We know that this vital winter aid can truly save lives this winter. Through our emergency response, we seek to protect, support, keep warm, and help feed the ummah in Lebanon for the blessed month of Ramadan.

Allah reminds us in the Holy Qur’an, “He who saves one life, it is as though he has saved all of humanity.” (Qur’an, 5:32). Your support can be the difference between life and death for those in need this winter.
